You'll notice whenever companies get called out for AI art the response is always 'We did the right thing and fired them' and not 'We did the right thing and raised budget rates to match the amount of work we wanted'

If you chase 'I'll be happy once I'm finally a good artist' you'll never be happy because there are always going to be paths to explore and ways you can improve.

You have to redefine being a 'good artist' as being someone who stays open to learning, growing and exploring

later, I was sharing this with a more experienced friend who was (rightfully) alarmed. they insisted I file a grievance with the union, which I didn't think I could do since I wasn't part of it yet, but that day I found out you don't need to be a member to file a grievance (7/12)

Kal Athannassov Aender Lara 🍩 +1 on this. I’m a character rigger so being able to translate a design into 3D and achieve all the ranges required is what these sheets typically help with. The quoted images are absolute nonsense garbage. It's so clear people think drawing is the end goal - not communication.

These horrors are worth calling out. See when designing characters you learn that the eyes are the window to the soul. These eyes are misshapen and devoid of any life.

Now you could design characters who are misshapen and fill them with life but you you’re very off the mark rn
