Counterpoint:
College students aren't toddlers.
They're not middle school students.
They're not high school students.
They're grown adults.

The A.I. Lie. An important article on the destructive disruption of the arts by AI. The brutal Big Tech process of “disruption” is exposed expertly.
This is how it works:

1. create a tech substitute for an existing industry.
2. Back this with venture capital funding so deep…

1-2 years from now, you literally will not be able to trust your eyes OR ears.

Humanity has never faced a problem like this in its 300,000 year history.

This statement from J.K. Rowling is vastly superior to the dribble written by woke biologists who pretend that humans are no different than Clownfish and Banana Slugs (that can change sex), lying in the name of ideology that only hurts women. (Although maybe Clownfish & Banana…

Good point.

One key function of propaganda is to deliberately fill one's political enemies with a paralyzed despair about the irrationality & stupidity of those who parrot the propaganda.

The more witless & false the propaganda, the stronger this effect can be.

Me: Get feeders out, mix sugar & water, fill feeders, hang on front porch

Daughter Vivian (age 2): Stand on front porch, stare at sky, wave arms, and scream 'BIRDS COME DRINK! DRINK BIRDS DRINK!'

Govt taxing unrealized capital gains only makes sense, in principle, if govt also gives tax deductions for unrealized capital losses.

But of course they would never do that.

Anti-Semitism on campuses in the United States is reminiscent of what happened in German universities in the 1930s.

The world cannot stand idly by.

For the average American Ivy League college student, are there any complex, controversial political issues that they understand deeply enough to hold a well-informed opinion?

Over the last decade or so, many elite American colleges selected applicants based partly on their involvement in extracurricular political activities and social justice activism.

In retrospect, was that a good idea?

A note on the Columbia University protests:
I was an undergrad at Columbia in 1985 when several hundred students did several weeks of anti-apartheid protests (urging the university to divest from investments in South Africa.)

Students camped in front of Hamilton Hall, just under my dorm…

Does diversity make teams work better?

Apparently not!

A new, comprehensive preregistered meta-analysis found that, whether the diversity was demographic, cognitive, or occupational, its relationship with performance was near-zero.

Just add a few AI apps to this (for autonomous navigation, face recognition, vehicle recognition, house recognition, etc), and psychopaths & terrorists will have fully autonomous arson-bots and death-by-fire slaughterbots.

Call me a Luddite, but this seems like a bad idea.
