We won this case against the US treasury. Smart contracts (with no admin key/rights) are not capable of being owned. This is a huge victory for privacy advocates, smart contract developers, and free speech enjoyoors!! Thank you to paulgrewal.eth, Coinbase 🛡️, the legal team

Are folks against client devs modifying default flag values that affect the network? Specifically, I want Prysm to change its default gas limit from 30M to 36M. The network has already agreed on this value, so it seems appropriate to update. Is anyone against this? I want to

The best video on the technicalities behind the $1.4B crypto hack that happened yesterday, biggest one so far (by a lot). Patrick Collins on top of everything as always, he is our gem🫡 youtu.be/Gf8_ovO-jBI?si…

Re:safe /bybit -- I'm not using hosted UIs anymore for things I care about on chain. Let me build it and run it myself or I don't want to use it. I'm going to check that dependencies are hard pinned too. Hash everything, verify the hashes. My trust model doesn't vibe with devs

I liked how the old MultiSigWallet worked where the transaction data can't be hotswapped by a compromised UI. It's on chain, it can be easily simulated, and no UI required. It was a bit archaic, but that's fine for cold wallets imo github.com/gnosis/MultiSi…

Bybit effectively signed an _untrusted_ delegatecall transaction and unfortunately the rest is history. To prevent these kinds of mistakes and discourage anyone from signing such transactions, I've just added warnings for _untrusted_ delegatecalls in my Safe tx hashes script. You

Holesky testnet is close to recovery. A new epoch was barely justified with more than 2/3rds of validators participating. Finality should be soon...

The video was cringe and on brand. They should have left it up. I'm surprised they didn't mention Ethereum though. Maybe that's the real reason they took it down?

Core devs and researchers should read this post. Dev are #1 users of the chain and we need to do better to communicate motivations behind protocol changes changes.
