The lorry which overturned and closed the #A45 both ways between the #A14 and the #B663 near #Thrapston has now been recovered from the scene. Northants police have reopened the road with residual delays in the area now clear.

⚠️M40 closed⚠️

The M40 is closed in southbound between junction 9 for Wendlebury and junction 8 for Wheatley whilst we attend an incident.

We would advise motorists to avoid the area at this time and find alternative routes.

Emergency services are currently dealing with a jacknifed lorry on the M40, southbound carriageway between junction 9 and 8a. Two lanes are closed and long delays are expected. There are no reported injuries but the clean up will take a long time. Thank you for your patience

This broken down vehicle has now also been cleared and all lanes have re-opened on the #M1 northbound between J16 ( #Northampton ) and J17 ( #M45 , #Kilsby ).

A 50 minute delay remains in the area with 7 miles of congestion but this should now start to ease. Thanks for your patience

🚧Upcoming Work - Brackley 🚧

Radstone Road, Brackley, will be closed from 20 May for 4 weeks for resurfacing work and to install new kerb lines.

The road will be closed between 08:00-17:00, weekdays. Outside these hours there will be 2- and 3-way temporary traffic signals.

The A428 between West Haddon & East Haddon, will be closed from 13-17 May between 20:00-06:00 for pre-surface dressing carriageway patching. This minor resurfacing work is in preparation for further works this summer.
