Ireland’s UN Youth Delegates @UNYouthIrl 🇮🇪🇺🇳 were delighted to meet President Michael D. Higgins at the Irish Mission on the margins of the Summit of the Future.

This morning, Ireland co-sponsored an event on adolescent sexual & reproductive health and rights with 🇨🇴 & World Health Organization (WHO). 🇮🇪 outlined our ongoing commitment to addressing sexual and reproductive health challenges facing adolescents in our national policy.

I am sorry to see that despite years of talk, gender inequality is on full display at the #UNGA General Debate. Less than 10% of speakers this week are women. This is unacceptable – especially when we know gender equality delivers for peace, climate action and much more.
