The crew killed it this morning….light verticut on greens, cleaned up, mowed, solid tined and fertilized tees.

Began verticutting fairyways, along with a soil app on greens this morning. Really proud of the crew, we only have 5 full timers (including myself) and 3 part timers who rotate in and out, but we still manage to get everything done.

Not bad for the first time mowing fairways in almost 3 years! Good to know I still got it!

This is wild….the first soil test was taken on 3/3/25 (before we started using irrigation), 2nd test was 7/1/25 (after roughly 3.5 months of using post-Helene city water to irrigate with). The city used chlorine and aluminum sulfate to reduce turbidity in the reservoirs…

2.5 full growing seasons after taking over dallisgrass, crabgrass, poa and volunteer rye infested fairways, we are finally grown into a point where we can spray a pre-emerge!

Despite a hurricane destroying our front 9, 3 years of hard work and the back 9 is starting to look like a real golf course!

Fun weekend project. Over the years, our greens slowly lost their shapes. We were able to find at least 2k ft of sod on some greens we can repurpose to reshape the majority of the back 9 greens to their original Ross shapes.

Greens reshaping is going well! All but done on 15-18. Taking them all back to the original Ross shapes….this is a before and after of 18.
