Today is Barbara Johns Day in Virginia. At 16, Barbara Johns led protests to integrate Virginia’s public schools, which became the underpinning of the Brown v. Board of Education decision.

We celebrate her bravery and her efforts to build a more equal and just society.

This is a perfect example of why Senator Lashrecse Aird's work in the Senate to ground Flock Safety was so vital this session. With a number of localities using Flock in Virginia, we still need to come back and set real guardrails to prevent incidents like this.
