For what it's worth, I'm supporting the calls for a @ScottishGreens EGM and at the moment I'm minded to vote for an end to the Bute House Agreement. I can't see what good our presence in government is doing on some life and death issues that are core to our values.

If a straight man is perceived to be gay and attacked because of that, it would be a crime on the basis of homophobia. That’s how the law works, so of course this law applies to trans women where they are targeted for being seen as women. This is quite basic logic in law.
