Happy to announce that I am officially starting as an U.S. National Science Foundation #PRFB . I'll be at The University of Texas at Arlington with Dr. Todd Castoe doing genomic work on hybrids of the lovely snakes below! Can't wait to expand and incorporate new collaborators, systems, and methods to my ongoing works! 🐍 🧬
If any body is traveling through west Kansas tonight or is a student/affiliate of Fort Hays State University and the Sternberg Museum of Natural History come eat some food and drink some beverages while I talk about the many uses of snakes in jars!
I am in my happy place. Follow Project RattleCam for more incredible footage of social rattlesnakes!
Sharing my third dissertation chapter that investigates systematics and biogeography of the Sunda-Papuan Keelbacks, genus Tropidonophis. Thanks to Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society for smooth submission+revision process. Most importantly, thanks to all my amazing coauthors. academic.oup.com/zoolinnean/art…
Love being able to co-first author this with my good friend Justin Bernstein and team led by Sara Ruane . We present 18 snake genomes, ALL with specimen vouchers. Excited to work more with Iridian Genomes on some Kansas 🐍🧬 in the future at Sternberg Museum of Natural History Fort Hays State University

Dear iNaturalist users, don’t change people’s id’s if your only change is switching the record to a subspecies within the species that the entry is already ID. Thanks.
