The debate becomes: If Bama was ahead going into today, and looked bad against the #3 team (that they already beat on the road) by being forced to play in a game the others didn’t have to play - then do they deserve to be considered that much worse just because of that.

I think the final week of the season should instead be a seeded flex game for everyone in the conference - and do away with the championship games. That way everyone else doesn’t sit at home. And also doesn’t force similar matchups (for example - Bama plays Ole Miss and Georgia
