Excited to share our new #indoorchem paper led by Jienan LI out today! science.org/doi/full/10.11… We found that smoke VOCs form surface reservoirs and thus persist indoors - meaning that air cleaners and ventilation don't permanently solve problems, but surface cleaning does!

Glad to share our study of wildfire smoke and indoor surfaces in ES&T: pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10… We find that PAHs in smoke accumulate on indoor materials and persist for weeks at possible health-relevant levels. Good news - cleaning activities appear effective at removing PAHs.
