Fantastic to see the GOSH MRI sedation service referenced by anaethetist Ignacio Malagon on his presentation discussing sedation use in medical imaging tests for children GOSH Theatres & Radiology Clare Simcock
Thank you for having me UoS Diagnostic Radiography. Fantastic day lecturing alongside multidisciplinary professionals involved in caring for children.
Our EOS imaging is being serviced today. This machine produces images of the spine and legs using low dose X-rays. Easy to forget it raises that metal X-ray tube and detector (weighing over 100kg) into the air, on average 150 times a day!
Fantastic to see two GOSH Theatres & Radiology colleagues take the main stage at UKIOCongress this year.
🚨Radiographers interested in a research career 🚨 Over 300 fully funded masters places available through NIHR Involvement for research training. I also did my masters at King's College London and it changed my career in ways I never imagined. SCoR Members
Congratulations University of Exeter on 20 years of Medical Imaging! I still seek support from my undergraduate tutor Julie Mills 11 years on (she gives fantastic PhD advice!)
We have just wrapped on a fantastic two days with National Institute for Health and Care Research Strategy & Engagement board. Lots of useful discussions on how to get the most out of NIHR research and how we can collaborate with partners for the health and wealth of the nation.
Jess is a good example of a health practitioner developing her career as a clinical academic. A radiographer who did her MSc Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care at King's 💙, worked on & published a study with Una Foye and myself, completed a National Institute for Health and Care Research pre-doc fellowship & now motoring on her National Institute for Health and Care Research PhD.
