Unfortunately, #Pennsylvania is the only state in the USA, where local police, like the Chambersburg Police, cannot use radar enforcement to protect municipal workers in work zones on local streets, so I guess only State work zones can have this protection.

#Chambersburg Electric Utility reports that the decorative column streetlight on the west side of Lincoln Way at Glen Street was destroyed by a car in an overnight accident. This is not the first time. It will be rebuilt, and the Borough will seek restitution from the driver.

#Chambersburg Storm Sewer Utility looking to get permits to build a new sewer main under railroad siding at end of S. Fifth Street. Project to help occasional flooding on S. Fourth Street and Wayne Avenue. Project paid for by bond and Federal grants.

For the third time over last week, #Chambersburg Borough received upwards of 2" of rain over one hour this aftenoon, with a 2" storm Saturday and 4" in two hour storm last week. Torrential downpours are generally not this frequent & cause localized urban flooding each storm.
