We revere the protests of the past, but we tsk-tsk the ones of the present.

Our country was founded in civil disobedience.

No intimidation, no antisemitism, no violence is ever OK.

But civil disobedience helps perfect us. Be curious about what young people are trying to say.

I went to a tiny state college in VA. We probably had 5-10 protests a year over various things. We protested Greek organizations, protested some speaker or guest lecturer, hell there was even a protest when Pauley Shore came to perform.

No one put a TV camera crew on campus.

I think of all the unforgivable behaviour I've seen in the tech industry over my career, the one that makes me the most angry is people who got theirs, and then pull up the ladder behind them. Sometimes it's individuals, sometimes it's entire companies.
