The one-sided history of Sir John A. Macdonald continues, I see. No mention of Confederation or the railway. Or 1885 Franchise Act. A look at JAM's political 'decisions' not his achievements and failures. Oh, and 'racism and sexism.' That's not a balanced look.

This is actually a big deal. When we use our history in public places, we help to build a sense of identity. Removing it from the passport was regrettable. This move is smart. Also a surprise given the anti-history inclination of the current government.
