Solana Devnet is now back online and has been successfully restarted.

the first restart failed earlier but our second attempt seems successful! devnet is now making roots again and we're monitoring cluster health now. RPCs will still need some time to update and catchup, but the cluster should hopefully be back to normal soon 🤞

Solana Devnet remains offline, after an error was encountered during its restart. Engineers are currently investigating the cause and will provide more info as it becomes available.

The migration of native -> bpf programs was discussed on the core community call today

A good idea was to have a hackathon for anyone who can make the most performant bpf versions of native programs

Optimizing the most used programs on Solana enables more throughput and users

Shoutout to the core engineers that worked overnight to investigate Devnet!

Getting dev's QA environment up and running asap helps out tremendously

The issue has been identified and corrected. Solana Devnet will restart at 1:00pm CT/6:00pm UTC.

we've mostly diagnosed the issue that brought down solana devnet and thankfully it turns out that it's devnet specific and not a v1.18 blocker 🎉

we're still working on some things to get the cluster back up, thanks for your patience 🫡
