Portland State University faculty PSU-AAUP have been in a hell of a fight to protect their jobs, and their fight has paid off. This is a classic example of union power and why every worker deserves representation! opb.org/article/2025/1…

Unskilled labor doesn’t exist; that’s why it’s called labor. And EVERY worker deserves a living wage — from pouring coffee to operating heavy equipment. Working class solidarity above ALL.

If OHSU doesn’t agree to a contract that respects their workers and protects their patients, 8,000 Oregon AFSCME workers are ready to strike, and all of Oregon’s labor movement is ready to back them up. wweek.com/news/health/20…

I’m proud to call Reyna a friend and to stand with her and every Oregon farmworker in our fight against these attacks on working people and this inhumane mass deportation agenda. koin.com/nwpolitics/lea…

Today, I’m spending time with my loved ones, but many Oregonians are working. From healthcare providers to grocery workers, holidays should remind us of the labor that makes our communities run and of the progress we still need to make to build an equitable and just economy.

SNAP modifications that increase work requirements for “able-bodied adults” will impact 62K Oregonians. Being “able-bodied” doesn’t equate to work opportunity or guarantee a living wage. It only serves to continue to punish poor people for being poor. newsweek.com/snap-benefits-…

The wealthy set wages, rig employment levels, create job requirements, and put a price on necessities then blame poor people when they can’t afford necessities and can’t find jobs. It’s not about finding a better job, it’s about stopping working class exploitation.

As long as rural Oregonians are exploited for their labor and their vital contributions to this state are left behind, we will never have a fair and just Oregon economy. opb.org/article/2025/1…
