Thankful for an inspiring visit to PS 56! Student voice, student leadership, social emotional learning (SEL) and culturally responsive teaching were all meaningfully embedded in literacy lessons. They are doing incredible work to leverage SEL data to strengthen core instruction.

On 3/23 we had our family healing ambassador professional learning session w/ Dr Angel Acosta & it was amazing! We were reminded of the work that’s being done across the board. The time is now for all of us to unite our efforts to bring healing-centered practices to our schools!

Loved visiting the Belmont School (PS 32) in the Bronx’s District 10 where they’re doing great work to support all students, with dedicated support for students in temporary housing. I loved seeing their outdoor garden, which students help develop and maintain.
