This morning I was recalling a beautiful game that was sadly cancelled, The Journey of Iesir. It was the first AGS game to go high resolution and also had big character sprites with gestures and facial expressions. Obviously a huge inspiration! At least we got a demo.

Achievement unlocked! I went and saw Kronos Quartet at Memorial Hall in Cincinnati this evening. I've been listening to them since I was a teenager. The concert was fantastic! If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be Only Ever Us by Paul Wiancko.

So sad to hear of the death of Peter Schickele, aka P.D.Q. Bach. His early Concerto for Horn and Hardart and late String Quartet ("The Moose") are among my favorites. Rare was the piece (or introduction) that didn't make me laugh, even after I'd heard it 20 times!
