"Far from the Madding Crowd" (with apols TH) Here's a wee secret. When the busy season comes & the pup & I want a peaceful outing, we often go wandering about beautiful Strathnaver. The quiet hinterland road from Lairg to Bettyhill holds much history & walking delights.. 🐾👣😊

Autumnal portent The light is closing in such that Gill and my evening walks these days are often in the chilly dusk. Occasionally however, we're rewarded by a wonderful clarity of silhouette against the remnant sky of a sun that has set. 🐾👣😊

Inchnadamph This beautiful church & burial ground stands at the head of Loch Assynt where the River Ionian feeds the loch. Wonderful dynamic Autumn light, spotlights the ruins of Ardvreck with the southern tip of the Quinag massif behind. A good weekend to all. 🐾👣😊
