Because I don’t believe the forecast. IMF forecasts have become a political joke. When Britain had a centre-right government of which the IMF disapproved, it consistently under forecast UK growth. Now it has a centre-left government of which it approves, it over-forecasts growth.

Since they’re together in The Hague perhaps Starmer could ask Trump to intervene in the Birmingham bin collection strike. It’s been going on for almost as long as the Iran-Israel confrontation.
