Back in Bergen teaching UiB Earth Science and visiting Vilde Dimmen . This must be my 10th trip here but the first time I’ve made it up Floyen, thanks to lack of time or daylight. Well worth the wait!
A very enjoyable day looking at the #Carboniferous #carbonates and #siliciclastics of Castleton led by Cathy Hollis along with members of the @Sedimentology Bureau.
Deep & shallow water and continental carbonates, ammonites, thromobolites, red beds faults & folds, all in a week. Always a joy to be in the Wessex Basin, particularly with such an amazing group of students manchesterbasins Earth Sciences at the University of Manchester
