Our approach to the land back question needs to be inform by these communalistic principles. Rather than the EFF approach to give land back to government or the ANC approach to give lands to private family ownership, land needs to be put in the hands of communities.

By turning both townships and suburbs into communities again, we can localise decision making and in so doing resolve our problems with crime, energy distribution, infrastructure allocation and maintenance and the allocation of capital to capable entrepreneurs.

A major modern African confusion is fighting about the choice between two bad systems; capitalism and communism. Our ancient African social systems are based on a third way: communalistic principles which rely on smaller units of people making bottom up decisions.
