Last night two amazing University of Tennessee Physics and Astronomy faculty members were feted at the 2022 UT Arts & Sciences Award Ceremony. Prof. Hanno Weitering for Distinguished Research and Prof. Larry Lee for Faculty Outreach Teaching. Congrats for these well deserved honors!

Our new manuscript is out! We show how direct sampling of a 2d truncated exponential distribution leads to smaller autocorrelation times in lattice PIMC. Yet another example of the importance of algorithmic development in optimizing computational methods.
