This is so so bleak. This makes me so angry & upset. Let alone the climate factor it doesn't even make economic sense! This is just the govt doing symbolic politics for a wholly imaginary group of voters.

Wish i hadn't just moved out of Peckham it would have been so fun to go to all the selections & hustings for this ☹️

I am so so glad that i don't have to follow the day-to-day of Westminster politics anymore. It's just a constant dumpster fire 🗑️ Now i just look at the push notifications and think, oh, werk🤷‍♂️

Not to sound despairing but what hope do we have of reaching net zero/genuinely restoring nature, when in 2022 we're still fighting the most basic battles, i.e. fracking & keeping the habs regs? Actually, maybe i am despairing.

Whatever the question, fracking is not the answer.

FFS.
People don't want it.
Energy companies don't want it.
Plenty of Tories don't want it.
The manifesto said they wouldn't do it.
It can't produce enough gas to bring down prices set on a global market (unless it's nationalised).
The only people to profit are fracking companies.
