To every professor who has expressed shock at the events of last night: if you do not take action to demand divestment and an end to police presence on campus by withholding your labor, you too are complicit. You must do more than make statements. You must strike.

I am hearing that the police plan to attempt to clear the encampment this afternoon or evening. The administration, I understand, can’t control what the police do, now that they’ve been called in. Faculty and staff are on their way, but may not be able to get there in time.
