Tomorrow at 1pm will be the viewing of the statue of the RRR WW2 Rifleman that will be officially unveiled in Normandy in June.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jim Hopson, a true icon and leader here in Saskatchewan.

His contributions to football and our community will always be remembered and cherished.

Sending condolences to his loved ones and his Rider family during this difficult time.

He was courageous in his battle.

He was courteous with his time.

He helped the Riders become a flagship franchise and always gave credit to his team.

Personally he’s always been a giant of a man, great to deal with, even when he was my principal 40 years ago. RIP, Jim.
