At #unea6 we celebrated 50 years of cooperation under The UNEP Regional Seas Programme. 50 years, 146 countries, bringing neighboring countries together to cooperate on ocean governance.

These “pearls of multilateralism” are truly worthy of celebration!

On the 50th anniversary of #UNEP 's Regional Seas Programme, it is right that UNEA-6 celebrates the tangible achievements of the regional organisations that have implemented the prohramme. Much has been achieved, but thanks to the triple planetary crisis, challenges are mounting.
