I’ve been trying to visualize this for my students for years. Why is it critical to use analog media while you are learning? Digital tools creates fewer opportunities for knowing your voice because it doesn’t teach you how to react to your own decision making in the same way. /1

This is a book I've wished for & worked on for the past 7 years. Minoru & I have written it as a #MG , as a #GN , & as a picture book. This story is based closely on Minoru's and his family's experiences in incarceration camps in the 1940s, & I can't wait for it to be in the world!
