Last week U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith discussed the importance of enhancing the Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program, a tool that places veterinarians in underserved rural areas, through the Rural Veterinary Workforce Act. Secretary Tom Vilsack agreed and urged Congress to remove the federal tax.

Our world would be very different without the Seabees. Their heroic endeavors have paved the way, whether we’re talking about military successes or disaster recovery. We're proud that the Seabees have a home in MS & our resolution expresses gratitude for all they do.

People who live & work in rural areas need basic emergency health services, but too many rural hospitals are in danger of closing or have already closed. My bill would amend an existing program to improve chances that rural residents can keep or regain access to care. Details:
