To all my friends and followers, I present the paper that almost broke me. 6 years+ from inception to publication. This paper has spent almost 3 years in review, with multiple re-writes, rejections, highs and lows. NONE of the reviewer edits ever changed the conclusion. RIP 😂

1) AMSTAR-2 checklist is useful - covers many of these points.
2) PRISMA is not a conduct guideline, only a reporting one. Conduct is carried out in accordance to the principles laid out in the appropriate Cochrane Handbook (interventions or diagnostic tests).

This concept has lived forever in different skins, ie if you can't handle the complication, you shouldn't do the procedure. It's especially prevalent in surgical dogma.

The concept is flawed, though, as it requires end-level experts to do all procedures, big and small.
