It was great to meet some of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge Winners from Maryland this week! Hailing from Poolesville AD, their dedication to technological advancement embodies our community's innovation spirit. It's inspiring to see young minds solving local problems.
For #TeamMaryland , it's all hands on deck to secure funding to rebuild the Key Bridge. That's why we introduced legislation to ensure 100% federal support for this pivotal project. We won't rest until our port workers are back on the job and the bridge is up and running again.
Black women in the U.S. are three times more likely to die from pregnancy complications than white women. As a proud cosponsor of the #CAREForMomsAct , we're going to eliminate these disparities and ensure Black mothers and babies have equal access to maternal health resources.
No community in America has been spared from gun violence.
So I commend President Biden for taking action to close background check loopholes that endanger the lives of our loved ones.
Step by step and inch by inch, we will continue our fight to solve this crisis and save lives.
On #TeamTrone , it’s all paws on deck to serve Marylanders in Congress. Happy National Pet Day from our furry friends to yours!
Team Maryland is working with Governor Wes Moore to secure funding for the Francis Scott Key Bridge and reopen the Port of Baltimore. Our port workers and small businesses stand to lose $2.2 million a day as the Port remains closed. We must support these folks in their hour of need.
Disappointed but not surprised. From blocking bipartisan annual funding bills to obstructing crucial infrastructure, the House Freedom Caucus has repeatedly held the American economy hostage.
We will fight for federal funding to get Baltimore back in business — swiftly and safely.
