As someone who has worked at both Brown and Columbia, I much prefer this to the cops...

The interesting thing here is that I am sure that @ericcrampton would have said the same thing, whether or not he was paid.

The problem is whether the NZI would have hired him if he didn't want to say what he said.

Any remember the first Bill and Ted, when they bring So-crates back from the past for their class project? They were stupid but loveable. This is just stupid.

This actually reminds me of modified gravity alternatives to dark matter that have to be engineered so you can't tell the difference between them and dark matter on large scales.

Is it just me that hates the phrase 'research outputs' -- 'outputs' always reminds of the charts you have to keep with very new babies.

I know we use it to cover a huge range of activities, but no-one ever goes home and says 'Good news, I had an output accepted today'

Don't do much punditry here, but anyone wittering about the terrible and heinous violation of the Iranian Embassy and the deep respect of the Iranian government for diplomatic norms was probably not reading the newspaper in 1979.

Reading 'The Star Builders' on efforts to develop fusion power. Great title but it refers to people working on fusion as 'star builders' throughout. E.g. 'The star builders have an unusual plan...'

It's Thursday, time to watch the latest Cosmology Talk!

This one has Russell Boey talking about dynamical friction, supermassive blackholes and ultralight dark matter.

Can it solve the final parsec problem?

Find out inside the video (or next Tweet).
