Too often, laws in Canada resort to eviction as the sole answer to address tenancy issues, disregarding their #Right2Housing obligations.

It's critical for provinces to follow Office of the Federal Housing Advocate's directives & enact legislation recognizing AND upholding housing as a human right.

Housing is a human right—which means eviction should never be the default. ⬇️Stronger tenant protections that prevent unnecessary eviction is urgently needed all across Canada.

The fed gov allocated $250M to address encampments in Budget 2024—yet experts say this is not enough.
