Yesterday, Governor Glenn Youngkin vetoed HB568 which removed tax exemptions for confederate organizations. This raises serious concerns about fairness & fiscal responsibility. It's past time to align our tax code w/ our values and vision for a more inclusive VA. nytimes.com/2024/05/17/us/…
The new biennial budget includes significant investments to protect the Chesapeake Bay, improve water quality, & help us respond to the climate change.
Sincere thanks to Chesapeake Bay Foundation foundation for getting us lawmakers out on the water & learning more about the Bay today.
