DSRSG/RC/HC Ghulam M. Isaczai غلام محمد اسحق زي and IOM Iraq met with IDPs at Bzebiz informal IDP site in Anbar and listened to their concerns and challenges. He underlined the need to address these issues, to ensure inclusive durable solutions for all IDPs in Iraq.

During a visit to Ashti IDP Camp in Sulaymaniyah today, UN DSRSG/RC/HC Ghulam M. Isaczai غلام محمد اسحق زي interacted with Camp residents, teachers & camp management on Council of Minister’s decision to resolve the IDP file in Iraq.

Today at Hasan Sham IDP Camp in East Mosul, DSRSG/RC/HC Ghulam M. Isaczai غلام محمد اسحق زي engaged with camp residents and camp management, hearing their concerns firsthand. He called for joint actions from all parties to address their challenges. UNAMI is committed to providing lasting solutions.

In our continuing engagement about the displacement file in #Iraq , DSRSG/RC/HC for Iraq, Ghulam M. Isaczai غلام محمد اسحق زي, together with UNDP, UNHCR, and IOM Representatives, met with Minister of Migration and Displacement, ايفان جابرو Evan Gabro.

شددت الأمم المتحدة على مبادئ المسارات الآمنة والمستنيرة والكريمة والطوعية وإيجاد حلول دائمة للنازحين بما يتماشى مع الخطة الوطنية للحكومة والمعايير الدولية وخطة عمل الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بشأن النزوح الداخلي.

كان لنا اجتماعٌ مثمرٌ مع وزيرة الهجرة والمهجرين السيدة إيفان فائق جابرو، والتي أطلعت الأمم المتحدة على القرار الأخير لمجلس الوزراء بشأن النازحين داخل المخيمات في إقليم كردستان العراق.

DSRSG/RC/HC Ghulam M. Isaczai غلام محمد اسحق زي, along with UNICEF & UNESCO, met today w/ #Iraq 's Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri. Discussions focused on advancing the educational sector, digitalization, increasing budget allocations, & supporting education for IDPs, returnees, & refugees.

2023 has been a year of extreme humanitarian needs and immeasurable human suffering.

The resilience of communities affected by crises has been tested to its limits.

As the world approaches 2024, let's work together to make this a year of peace, stability, healing and hope. 💙
