COVID can cause new health problems even 3 years after infection, study finds - and even for those who had a ‘mild case’ fortune.com/well/article/c…

The most factual accounts on COVID have been in the business media. On Bloomberg currently, risks can last 3 years! Think post infection risk! Your risk does not end after the initial period of symptoms.

Only a handful seqs of this, but they seem to be spread across the world & already include 2 recombinants. Both S:∆S31 & S:R190T add glycans—sugar chains that can help spike hide from antibodies, among other roles. Glycan experts like Fabrizio Chiodo could say more. 1/12

Now that aerosol transmission of respiratory viruses is widely acknowledged (at least by anyone who's paid attention for the past few years), teasing out the dynamics and nature of virus-laden aerosols is vital. Al Haddrell has consistently delivered the goods.

I was acutely sick w/ Covid19 in April. I still have many symptoms. I am what they call a “long hauler”. Last night, I had real heaviness in my chest. I went to the ER just to make sure it wasn’t a blood clot. Thankfully, it wasn’t.

This virus sucks. Please take it seriously.

Mask wearing at our school has quadrupled from baseline (of tiny numbers).

The health promotion is working… even if the small effort is reflected in small results.

Wonder what we could achieve if we really tried?

darius chapman Prof Peter Collignon Doesn't this suggests that the method of fit testing is defective? It has always seemed very cumbersome to me. What's the possibility of using thermal imaging to detect leaks, as utilised in so many industrial situations?

Peter Vogel Prof Peter Collignon Hi Peter, please see here our progress on thermal leak detection. Still a long way to go, but we’re making great progress. We have recently shown (under review) that we can increase the odds of passing Portacount by 2.3x using this kiosk. Data under review now.
