In honor of Kentucky hosting the PGA Championship and school vouchers being on the ballot this November...

May is Mental Health Month. Did you know students are six times more likely to access mental health resources at school? So I’ve made it my mission to help make that happen, to the tune of $40 million. And we’re not done yet! Our kids, and their future, is worth it.

I met members of ECTC Team Nuke, who competed in Dallas at the VEX Robotics World Championships. This marks the eighth straight year they have competed in this prestigious event. The skills they are mastering today will help move their lives, and this commonwealth, forward.

To the kids who teach us what it means to love unconditionally, and the women who love us- both for who we are and in spite of who we are- along the way, thank you. Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Nurses Week to all those who provide compassion during our most trying times, but especially to our favorite healthcare hero!

On the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to thank everyone who educates our kids. It does not matter if you are the cook, the custodian, or the chemistry teacher- you are cultivating the future of Kentucky in your schools. Team Kentucky thanks you.

Team Kentucky cut the ribbon on the Blue Oval SK ECTC Training Center. This state-of-the-art facility will prepare our students for the jobs of the future, giving them a leg up on the competition.

This is Teacher Appreciation Week and I support all teachers…even before they get their own classroom. Fayette County Public Schools celebrated a college signing day for future educators. I told them to go be great!

The BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) Conference was an inspirational event w/ teachers from across the country who believe that education has the power to inspire, unite, & change the world! I shared how my time as a teacher changed my life and inspires me as Lt. Governor.

I was happy visiting with cancer survivors before the inspirational “Survivors’ Parade” on Oaks Day! After going through my recent health scare, I can tell you this sisterhood is not one you want to join but, when you do, you find hope in the amazing women who walk with you.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month & I was happy to kick it off at Seneca High School in Louisville! One of their students, Cameron Austin, planned a mental health fair that was both inspiring & informative. When we listen to our students, it makes our commonwealth better.
