Appalling. Court & prison searches need to be sensitive & respectful. So many of us have experienced overly intrusive searching. As Katie says lawyers often aren't good advocates for themselves but we shouldn't have to be. So sorry this has now happened twice Katie.

Brilliant thread by Katie McFadden and more importantly it has been read widely so that HM Courts and Tribunals Service can quite understand the strength of feeling here - security clearance is already given via an ID card scheme but the court service still don’t trust officers of the court .

Today I was refused entrance to Stratford Mags unless I agreed to a ‘pat down’ search. I explained I was happy for my bag, pockets, coat etc to be searched, but I did not understand why a pat down is necessary - I did not want to be patted down because of my last experience (1/?)
