The Earls of Derby have been huge figures throughout many centuries of the events, heritage and history of #Lancashire .
It is a great honour for The Earl of Derby, that his majesty The King, has made him Vice Admiral of Lancashire for the coronation.

Samlesbury Hall is a historic house in #Samlesbury .
It was built in 1325 by Gilbert de Southworth (b. 1270), and was the primary home of the Southworth family until the early 17th century.
Before the Southworths, Samlesbury manor belonged to the d'Ewyas family.

The Lune Aqueduct is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Lancaster Canal over the River Lune, on the east side of the city of #Lancaster .
It was completed in 1797 at a total cost of £48,320 18s 10d.
It is grade I listed.
