I'm grateful my job allows me to work with some supremely talented science writers. Breaking down complex science and the 'why it matters' is an art that we need to support. This 3,000 word Jeremy Miller piece via Hakai Magazine is a shining ex. of that. hakaimagazine.com/features/how-t…
The US's central mining law dates to the administration of Ulysses S. Grant and is in need of a complete overhaul. My story for Sierra Magazine about damaged land, toxic water and the long-overdue changes being proposed by Congress.
