Center for Wellbeing and Happiness The Lower Eastside Girls Club, NYC Commission on Human Rights, & Center for Anti-Violence Education hosted a film screening & panel on #DenimDay .  Shout out to LES native Eden Martinez for creating an impactful film that explores the experiences of a survivor.

Speaking with Waterside Plaza tenants about the recent fire and how to improve on the management company’s response. We also discussed the state budget and how good cause eviction protects families across waterside plaza.

Toured Manhattan Beer Distribution Center in the Bronx yesterday. We spoke about their history, goals, employment, the importance of recycling, and their environmental endevours. Great union jobs, diverse workforce, & environmental responsibility!

Lent a helping hand Trinity’s Services And Food for the Homeless today handing out meals & hygiene kits (courtesy of Henry Schein Brotherhood Synagogue). It’s always great to get out & serve our new neighbors & people in need.

Today is Denim Day, wear denim in support of sexual violence prevention. We must uplift the stories of survivors and end this horrific epidemic.
