detachment doesn't mean to cut them off. it's about removing your expectations and fully embracing their presence without any strings attached. you'll know you're detached when you can fully enjoy their presence without fearing their absence

You keep policing them and you don't even realize that what they lack is actual respect for you. More like “I see you, I hear your complaints but I will still go ahead to do all of that because I mean you will complain anyway and I will say sorry”. Limits should be established

Policing your partner is a very lame move. You police their post. Police their movement. Police who they talk to. You can’t police anyone. That won’t stop them from cheating if they want to. There’s difference between policing them and them respecting & being accountable to you.
