Fourth grade. My maiden name rhymed with an animal sound. The teacher made that sound at me constantly, and encouraged the class to do the same. I hate that man to this day. I never day my maiden name out loud. Ever.

In a surprise shock to absolutely no one who knows me, I have an eating disorder.

Today was my last day at a job I had for 12 years, in a place I worked and volunteered for 17 years. SEVENTEEN YEARS. Why am I not more sad or upset? I’m hollow.

I have twelve hours left at a job I’ve had for 12 years. It’s unreal. And I can’t wait!
