I don't think 'nice to a fault' is ever accurate. Being too nice is not the problem. Your problems don't start when you decide to return your shopping cart, or leave a good tip. Not everyone is trying to walk all over you. We need to stop being afraid of showing a little empathy.

When I was younger I'd hate it if I accidentally made the 'wrong' choice in a video game. I would reload old saves in order to make everyone like me.

Nowadays I really don't care that much if my choices piss off fictional characters. I stick as close as possible to my beliefs.

Love it when someone finally comments on my music and it's just someone asking me if I want to work for them for free.

My favorite thing about programming is that if you don't know what to do, you can often just keep trying different things. It won't matter if you screw up your 1st, 2nd, or 50th attempt.

That's why I could never be a community manager.
