Today is the National Day of Mourning where we pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents.

Sadly, Alberta lost 161 people to workplace injury or illness in 2022.

The Brooks Fire Department will be training with live fire at the Brooks Regional Fire Training Facility (280 Canal Street East) today, April 24 and tomorrow, April 25.

Don't be alarmed by large flames or smoke in the Training Facility area.

Lake Stafford Dr East will be closed between Lakeland Crt and Southshore Dr East for a road repair. There will be no through traffic.

We will keep everyone informed when the work is completed.
