Exciting news for a guy with an inspiring, unusual trajectory. Bains wasn't picked in the WHL prospects draft. The Rebels picked him up and he still got passed over in the NHL draft. He responded by ripping up the WHL with 112 pts in 68 games and earned a contract with Vancouver
