36 years ago today, on April 30, 1988, I first met Venus Williams and Serena Williams at a Domino's Pizza World TeamTennis clinic in Long Beach, CA.

They were as impressive then as they are now.

I created the Novo Nordisk Donnelly Scholarship in 1998 to honor sisters Diane Donnelly Stone and Tracey Donnelly Maltby.

The scholarships are given to tennis players living with diabetes.

Congratulations to Kristi Yamaguchi on her new Barbie, part of the Inspiring Women collection, of which I'm honored to be included as well.

Kristi was the first Asian American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in figure skating.

According to Women's Sports Foundation's latest research, 'Thriving Through Sport: The Transformative Impact on Girls' Mental Health,' girls who participate in sports have fewer depression & anxiety symptoms than girls who have never played.
