Hon’ble Prime Minister attended the 80th session of the UNESCAP and delivered a special statement and called for UNESCAP’s support for building resilience, fostering connectivity and accelerating sustainable development across the region.

HPM Sheikh Hasina had royal audience with Their Majesties of the Kingdom of Thailand King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall at the Dusit Palace on 25 April 2024.

HPM Sheikh Hasina has arrived in Bangkok today on an official visit at the invitation of HPM of Thailand Srethha Thavisin. The bilateral meeting between two leaders will be held on 26 April 2024.

Deputy Foreign Minister of 🇰🇬 H.E. Avazbek Atakhanov paid courtesy call on HFM today. HFM thanked Kyrgyz President for his congratulatory message to HPM for re-election. They discussed trade, agricultural & educational cooperation, regional & global issues.

1st FOC between 🇧🇩 & 🇰🇬 was held today at Dhaka. FS & Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan led their respective sides in the FOC. All possible areas of bilateral engagements: political, trade, educational cooperation & candidatures in international fora etc. were discussed.

Assistant US Trade Representative for South and Central Asia Brendan Lynch called on Foreign Secretary Amb Masud Bin Momen today. They discussed various aspects of Bangladesh-US trade relations and ways to enhance cooperation between two countries.

UNDP Country Representative Mr. Stefan Liller paid a courtesy call on HFM today at MOFA. They discussed about international climate financing, climate diplomacy, Blue Economy strategy, trans-boundary marine & air pollution and digital innovation in public service delivery.

FS met the Foreign Minister of 🇧🇹 this morning in Thimphu & they discussed on issues of mutual interests including the implementation of the MoUs signed during the recent visit of HM the King of 🇧🇹to 🇧🇩, boosting trade &investment, connectivity & people to people contact.

Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh visited SAARC Secretariat in Kathmadu, Nepal in the afternoon today. He met the officials at the SAARC Secretariat. Foreign Secretary worked in the Secretariat as the Director from 2001-2004.

FS called on DPM & Minister for Foreign Affairs of 🇳🇵today. They expressed satisfaction on the existing bilateral relations between 🇧🇩 & 🇳🇵. Two sides emphasized on expanding cooperation in the areas of trade & commerce, connectivity, power & energy, tourism, culture & education.

The Foreign Secretaries of 🇧🇩&🇳🇵 signed the MOU between the Foreign Service Academy of 🇧🇩& the Institute of Foreign Affairs of 🇳🇵 to establish cooperation mechanism in the areas of diplomacy & international relations during the 3rd FOC in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The third FOC between 🇧🇩 & 🇳🇵 has been held today in Kathmandu, Nepal. During the FOC, led by the Foreign Secretaries of 🇧🇩 & 🇳🇵, the whole gamut of the relationships were discussed. They expressed satisfaction on the excellent bilateral relations between the two the neighbors.

Foreign Secretary arrived today in Kathmandu to lead 🇧🇩 delegation at the 3rd Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) between 🇧🇩 & 🇳🇵, to be held on 17 April 2024. During the FOC, the two Foreign Secretaries would discuss the wide ranging areas of cooperation.

New Amb-designate of Portugal to 🇧🇩 Mr. João Ribeiro de Almeida called on FS this afternoon at MOFA. Both sides appreciated the existing bilateral relations & discussed collaboration in trade & investment, connectivity, renewable energy, & cooperation in multilateral fora.

Lord Purvis of Tweed paid a courtesy call on HFM Dr. Hasan Mahmud, MP today at MOFA. They discussed inter-alia resilience of BD-UK bilateral relations, VSO operations in Bangladesh, bilateral trade, Rohingya crisis and war in Gaza.

The 1st Bilateral Foreign Office Consultations between Bangladesh & Estonia was held on 01 April 2024. AFS (Bilateral- East & West) Amb Dr. Muhammad Nazrul Islam & Amb Kristi Karelsohn led their respective delegation and discussed issues of mutual interests.

DG of Asia Pacific region of MOFA, Estonia Amb Kristi Karelsohn made a courtesy call on FS on 01 Apr'24. They discussed bilateral cooperation in ICT sector, trade & education, candidatures in different international fora and assistance for repatriation of Rohingyas.

FS attended a national dialogue on Promoting Decent Work Agenda to Advance Social Justice on 31 March 2024 at the FSA. FS emphasized multi-stakeholder dialogues on certain labour related issues that would be critical for Bangladesh’s smooth and sustainable graduation.

His Majesty the King of Bhutan paid tribute to the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum (Dhanmondi 32, Dhaka). His Majesty was accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen and Royal entourage.

The King of Bhutan is received by Hon’ble President today in the morning. The King is visiting Bangladesh from 25-28 March, 2024. Bangladesh enjoys a special relations with Bhutan, the first country to recognize Bangladesh as an Independent country in 1971.
