I cannot quite believe that today marks one year since the start of my biggest adventure yet as OIC 1039 Gillingham Sqn. Yes, it has been challenging and stressful at times, but the squadron has grown and we are moving in the right direction. Still much work to do, though...

Today, every cadet and most CFAV will witness the coronation of a monarch for the first time. It is a historic event, and the most most diverse coronation ceremony in history. However you are marking the occasion, stand proud, stay safe and, savour every moment!

We attended the remarkably well-organised 83rd #BattleOfBritain commemorative service at Saint Barbara’s Garrison Church, Brompton and thanked our extremely smart Royal Air Force Cadets, their proud & supportive families, Leaders & the Church for the outstanding parade & service.

I had an absolute blast visiting #1039squadron RAF Air Cadets in #gillingham this evening. We spoke about all things drone, from how they work, principles of flight, uses and even had a flight demo. It was great evening!
